We are from Colorado, USA, and were traveling in Australia this past December (2010). One of the things on my list of things that I wanted to experience was to go horseback riding in the bush. We have our own horses at home – and so we are not expert riders, but experienced. We had tried on several occasions and in different parts of Australia to find an outfitter that would take us on a special ride – we wanted to go by ourselves and be able to see lots of countryside. We tried several companies in our travels, but none of them really would work with us on our limited timeframe and special requests.

I called Hidden Trails and spoke with Laura. She was able to arrange a great ride for us in the bush, by ourselves and accompanied only by her and one of her guides. It was phenomenal and we had a wonderful time! Laura is personable, focused on customer service and a wonderful guide – we had a blast! We only had time to do one longer ride, but I’m sure their multiple-day rides would be outstanding.

Thanks to Laura, we had a really enjoyable time and got to see the countryside that we had hoped for! We highly recommend Hidden Trails if you want a really fun and interesting horseback riding experience in the Australian bush!

Hi Laura & Christian,
 
Garrath and I wanted to pass on how much we enjoyed our weekend with you guys and CJ & Phil last weekend. 
I loved that the horses suited our personalities and were educated to such a high standard, were very gentle and responsiveness.
 I actually felt like I grew as a person - this might sound very odd, but I was actually pretty scared that first morning and to get over that and by Sunday the smile I knew I was 'wearing' as we cantered along the face of number 3 - WOW is really all I can say.
From the excellent food and the stories around the camp fire all added up to such a great experience. We loved it and yes we were sore (9 years since riding is a long time) and didn't walk so great for a couple of days but I really haven't stopped talking about it - always a sign that I am excited!
I don't want to say I have ticked that off my bucket list now and that it was once in a lifetime  as I am sure we will join you again in the future.
